Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems, components, and products from concept to completion.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for electrical projects.
- Create detailed schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings using CAD software.
- Select appropriate materials, components, and equipment for electrical systems, considering factors such as performance, cost, and reliability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and technicians, to integrate electrical systems into larger projects.
- Test and evaluate prototypes and final products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during the design, development, and testing phases.
- Stay informed about advances in electrical engineering technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and external clients on electrical engineering matters.
- Participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and design reviews to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure.
- Proven experience in electrical engineering, including design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components.
- Proficiency in CAD software for schematic design and layout (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical).
- Strong knowledge of electrical principles, circuit theory, and power systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electrical simulation software (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and power electronics.
- Familiarity with hardware description languages (e.g., VHDL, Verilog) for FPGA and ASIC design.
- Experience with PCB design and layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle).
- Certification in relevant areas such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP).
