Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental assessments to identify potential risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Design and implement solutions for wastewater treatment, air pollution control, solid waste management, and other environmental challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into engineering projects.
- Perform environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and develop strategies to minimize negative impacts.
- Monitor and evaluate environmental performance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and clients on environmental issues.
- Stay informed about emerging environmental regulations, technologies, and best practices.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate project findings and recommendations.
- Conduct research and development activities to innovate new environmental technologies and solutions.
- Promote environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives within the organization and the community.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure.
- Proven experience in environmental engineering, including project management and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in environmental modeling software and tools (e.g., GIS, CAD, MATLAB).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and environmental management systems (EMS).
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and sustainable design principles.
- Familiarity with environmental monitoring techniques and data analysis methods.
- Experience working on interdisciplinary teams and engaging stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Certification in relevant areas such as LEED, Envision, or similar sustainable design standards.
